Dine In Dublin – WordPress Site Launch – DineInDublin.ie

Dine in Dublin Wordpress site launch

It has been a busy few days for myself and Niall as we have had a few sites on the go. The latest WordPress site to go live is DineInDublin.ie – a site to promote the bi-annual Dine in Dublin food festival in Dublin City which is running from the 21st to 27th October.

Dine in Dublin is in its 4th year and has grown steadily each year. This year they wanted their site to put Dublin restaurants front and centre and so an integrated map and search functionality was decided upon. This map and search functionality allow users to search by cuisine type, price range or dietary requirements.

All of the restaurants participating in Dine in Dublin 2013 are offering different deals and so each restaurant has it’s own listing with contact details and menu. Another nice feature of the site is the inclusion of popular and related restaurants on each restaurant listing page. Dine in Dublin is all about Dublin restaurants and so giving them as much visibility as possible is the aim of the game – and driving some hungry punters to their great deals too of course!

The site has been SEO proofed and even though it only recently went live it’s getting lots of organic traffic. Unfortunately the majority is secure search but such is life. The DineInDublin.ie domain has a lot of authority and backlinks from previous years and so this site will undoubtedly do well. The social campaign for the site is due to start tomorrow as well as a targeted PPC campaign. The site also has the twitter hashtag #dineindublin integrated into the footer so it’ll encourage visitors to join in the online chatter.

Given the stature and supporters of the Dine in Dublin initiative expect to see a lot of press, radio and tv spots in the run up to the week long event. Needless to say all of these efforts will drive some traffic to the site which is always nice and feeds into good SEO results.

This was a fun WordPress project to work on and I’m looking forward to seeing how the site fares during the heavy traffic spikes that are certain to come. Make sure you check the site yourself –> DineInDublin.ie, get yourself a deal and stay tuned for updates.
