KCYatLAW.ca – WordPress Development, SEO & Launch

From the lack of posts on the blog here you might think that I’ve packed in this WordPress development business but I can assure you that that couldn’t be further from the truth. Things have continued to ramp up here exponentially and we’re taking on clients from all over the world now, and one such client that I want to tell you about is KCYatLAW.ca. (and will soon be telling you about clients from Australia, Spain, London and the US – I haven’t been dead, I haven’t even been taking a break!).

KCYatLAW are a law firm based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada who got in touch when they needed to improve their SEO and to give their site a bit of a design makeover as well as making it responsive and more user friendly. Cometh the hour, cometh the web development team.

WordPress Development Process

The first phase in the WordPress development process is always design and for this project our graphic designer Elena worked to the brief. KCYatLAW have got very defined branding and colour scheme and so it was important that the design was consistent with that. As well as that there were some design prerequisites that had to be adhered to like phone number/locations/KCY in robes in top right for example as these design elements can help quickly build trust for potential clients who are in these geographic areas. As always Elena did a great job and then it was down to us code ninjas to transform the designs into a site that would get targeted traffic and convert it.

Focus on SEO and Conversions

We’re always very results focused in all WordPress development work that we do and this site was no different. From the off we wanted to have a nicely styled “request consultation” form on each page to make it easy for people to contact KCYatLAW. We then worked with KCYatLAW team to ascertain their SEO goals and optimised the site to meet them. It’s a very competitive market but from the screenshot below you can see that already the site is already starting to rank where it should for one of it’s main terms “employment lawyer Burlington” amongst a host of others like personal injury lawyer Burlington.

Ongoing SEO Post Launch

Since launching the site we’ve had an ongoing engagement with KCYatLAW to continue to improve their SEO. Although the site is new there are already some very positive signs (as demonstrated in the screenshot above) that things are going in the right direction. We’ve started to build some targeted citations which in time will pay dividends and there is also a content marketing campaign waiting in the wings to roll out. Conversion wise enquiries are already up which is the main thing and in time we should be able to solidify all rankings and increase the number of enquiries, leads and business generated. You gotta love the power of SEO :)
