It’s always nice when a new WordPress website launches – I still get the nervous tingles of excitement as those 1s and 0s must from the test server to live and the world is allowed to see. The most recent site launch is for TheShedCompany.ie who are providers of garden sheds, concrete buildings and duraboard sheds – exciting stuff I know but hey, we all need sheds!
And, I’ll be honest with you, it was an interesting enough site to build. It goes without saying that the TheShedCompany.ie WordPress site is responsive and has solid SEO foundations (all our sites do, it’s our MO) but this site also shows the power of WordPress as an online sales platform. The site comes with a dynamic online shed ordering system which allows the site to capture leads and actually deliver business. We like to have our WordPress sites focused on objectives and the prominent “Order Now” call to action buttons throughout the site lets the visitor clearly know that they can (and should) order now.
WordPress Website Launch – TheShedCompany.ie
The ordering system is built using Gravity Forms. We could have gone for a full eCommerce integration but the client didn’t want to accept payment online and so Gravity Forms were used. Gravity Forms allows you to create ordering systems based on conditional logic and gives you the ability to create almost full on eCommerce solutions allowing for dynamic pricing – nice.
For this project Elena from ElenaMontes.ie was involved in the graphic design side of things. She is very good designer and is quickly becoming a very helpful and useful part of the WordPress development team here – thanks Elena.
Anyway, in the frantic run up Christmas we have a few more WordPress sites going live later this week so keep an ear to the ground. Make sure to check out TheShedCompany.ie and if you’re looking for a shed for Christmas, well, you know where to look!
