WordPress Web Design – StoryToys

StoryToys are one the largest and best known children’s app developers in the world and they have won numerous awards around the world, as well as having top selling apps in iTunes, and to be able to work with them was a pleasure. They got in touch when they needed to update and upgrade their WordPress site.

The standard of artwork is what makes this site stand out. Each image is masterfully crafted and these high quality images really lift the overall appearance of the site itself. The site itself is fully responsive but also has some nifty features under the hood.

For example each of the product pages has Smart Banners in place which is a new markup from Apple which allows users browsing from iOS6 or higher to be able to download the app from iTunes from the site. It’s a really nice feature which helps with conversions. If the user already has the app downloaded the Smart Banner gives the user the chance to launch and play the app.

For me WordPress web design isn’t just about the features and the look it’s also about what can a site to do to help the business. To that end the site is integrated with a MailChimp mailing list and also has some page specific pop up options which allows StoryToys put different browsers on different mailing lists for different mailing lists – gotta love that segregation for targeted mail blasts.

SEO wise the site is in a very competitive niche but given the stature of StoryToys, and the SEO foundation that is now in place this site will do.
