WordPress Web Design – Dine in Dublin

Dine in Dublin is an annual food festival which has been running for the last 4 years. This year they got in touch with us to revamp their site for the week long food festival. The brief for this WordPress web design project was to make the new site integrated with social media as well as putting Dublin restaurants front and centre. To achieve this we incorporated a dynamic map into the homepage which people could use to filter and search for a restaurant of their choice.

The festival ran during the last weeks of October and the site experienced a torrent of traffic. We advise all our clients to use Spiral Hosting as they provide the best environment for WordPress hosting and they came up trumps once again. The combination of SEO, social and offline promotion was sending thousands of visitors to the site which required a quick hosting upgrade which was effortless with Spiral – a nice problem, easily overcome.

The site featured special deals and offers which restaurants were giving patrons for the Dine In Dublin festival and each restaurant had it’s own specific page for their deal. This resulted in the site becoming a hub for Dublin restaurants and a bit of an SEO powerhouse. Throughout the entire festival organic search was the biggest sender of traffic – always nice to see SEO working :)
