Sugar Cubed Dublin Hair Salon – Site Launch

Posted on August 13, 2013

One of the great things about being a freelance WordPress web designer is the variety of clients we get to work with. One week myself and Niall are building a website for a restaurant, the next for a tailor and the next a site for a new Dublin Hair Salon called Sugar Cubed.

For this build we followed our tried and tested WordPress design methodology. This methodology allows our customer to choose a premium WordPress theme which then allows us to focus on ensuring that the site delivers from a functional and SEO point of view, assured that the aesthetic of the site is as the client wants.

Sugar Cubed picked a perfect theme for their brand which is a sleek, fully responsive, onepage template that is full with attitude. The look and feel of the site clearly reflects what the new Dublin hair salon is all about: fresh, funky, colourful and not afraid to be unique. The images that Sugar Cube provided us with for the site are undoubtedly epic – as the screen shot above of one of the images on the homepage proves.

Functionality wise the site has a custom CSS skinned “book now” page to allow customers to easily book online. The site also has a “Meet the Staff” AJAX powered portfolio section which I like as it helps personalise the site and will help this new Dublin Hair Salon build a rapport with potential customers. Each staff member is also active on Facebook and Twitter and so links are included to make it easier for customers to contact their stylist as the screenshot below shows.

Prior to the launch of the new site for Sugar Cubed it was SEO proofed to give it the best chance of ranking in the SERPs for the keyword “Dublin Hair Salon”.  On site SEO and some backlinks will be provided to help the site on it’s way but given the va-va-voom that the site and staff at Sugar Cube have we’re sure that it’ll be a busy site.

Happy styling and the best of luck to Sugar Cubed!
